I don't craft very often. The main reason for this is that I never seem to have money for the tools I need to
do my crafting! I have a very limited supply of Scrapbooking materials, and knitting / crocheting materials. I would love to get into rubber stamping, cross stitching, and beading, but crafting is expensive!
So, I've come up with a plan! ;o)
I always seem to "find" the money I need for books (LOL), so I've decided to keep a jar in my cupboard that's for "Crafting supplies" only! I've created a (somewhat long) list of the crafting supplies I'd like to get, and I will slowly save up and buy the items off this list. If I can save up for books, I can save up for crafting tools, too! ;o)

I figure that keeping my wishlist here, on my blog, will be a good (safe) place to keep it -- it won't get lost! And, I can scratch off each item as I get it. :o)
Notice that I put
storage solutions first on my list? LOL. My sister-in-law had some great pics on her blog, the other day, of her craft stuff all organized in plastic storage units, and it gave me the idea for storing my OWN craft stuff. Right now, I have my craft stuff in 3-5 places: scrapbooking markers and glue, etc are in a plastic bin on top of my wardrobe unit; scrapbook, itself, is down on the floor between the bookshelf and the wardrobe; miscellaneous crafting supplies (lids for homemade stamps, etc) are up in a crate on top of the wardrobe; knitting/crocheting supplies are in a small Rubbermaid bin in my closet; and my fabric, glue-gun, and other photo-album-creation materials are in a second Rubbermaid bin in my closet. :-) So, it's kind of all over the place, and I'd love to have a better-organized method. ;o) Hopefully soon!
Notice, too, how I even snuck a few
books onto my list? LOL. But, how am I to learn how to do something if I don't have a how-to book? Tee hee. ;-P
Just a note: I linked to the
SONY Cyber-Shot digital camera, but that's not necessarily the one I'd go with ... I'm still researching which camera would be best for me.
Also, the 3-in-1 printer/copier/scanner isn't necessarily the one I'd go with, either -- I just wanted to link to a picture so people would know what I was talking about. My dad has one, and I think it's really cool! ;o)
